At Francis Solicitors Ltd, we take your privacy seriously and will only use your personal information to contact you as agreed, in order to provide the services you have requested from us.

What we require

Francis Solicitors will be what’s known as the ‘Controller’ of the personal data you provide to us. We only collect personal data about you which enables us to provide the member services we have offered to you or you have requested from us and enables us to contact you as agreed. This includes name, address, email address, phone number, national insurance number, year of birth, and medical records/ reports (Personal Injury cases); etc.

Why we require it

We require your requested personal data in order to provide you with the member services we offered you at the point of collection of your data, and provide information about the variety of other services we offer that we believe will benefit and inspire you. We will not collect any personal data from you that we do not need in order to meet these requirements.

What we do with it

All the personal data we collect is processed by our staff in the UK. The data enables us to contact you via the agreed method of communication in order to provide you with our services.

The data we collect is not shared with third parties for any marketing purposes. However for the purposes of IT hosting and maintenance, this information may be located on servers with the European Union. No third parties have access to your personal data unless the law allows them to do so.

We have a Data Protection regime in place to oversee the effective and secure processing of your personal data. More information on this framework is available upon request.

How long we keep it

We will keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years after which time it may be destroyed.

What are your rights

You have the right to request to see the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted. If you have an enquiry on how we have handled your personal data, you can contact our Data Protection Officer who will investigate the matter.
